AUTUMN, my favorite season is officially here!!!
(Says my calendar, not our thermometer nor our weatherman here in the desert.)
One of my many hobbies is to figure out the top trends of the up and coming season. I do a lot of my research in magazines, the internet, & favorite tv shows. And yes, I have way wayyy too much free time, that's the joy of having chronic kidney stones.
I then go on a hunt for a bargain. A big misconception about being in style is that it means you have to be a size zero and spend a lot of money. Not true, and not true! Our culture needs to learn to love their bodies and strive to be fit, not skinny, there's a difference. As for the other misconception, stores like Tj Maxx are the perfect places to shop for trendy deals. Another great place to look is right in your closet! You can mix up your clothes to make different outfits, or just add a simple new accessories.
I got a lot of great feed back for my Summer Top Fashion Trends blog. And a request for a fall blog. I hope that you enjoy this one as well, and I can be of help to your seasonal wardrobes!

The Color-
BURGUNDY/OXBLOOD! Wine, the new neutral, will be leaking onto everything this season from clothing, accessories, makeup to your fingernails.

The Spotlight-
Get noticed in futuristic METALLICS! They are everywhere this season, particularly gold.
*Tip- Keep accessories simple. Pair with neutrals.
The Print-
Almost forgotten since 2000, SNAKE PRINT slithers its way back to the catwalk. Speaking of "cat" last years must have was Leapord. Move over kitty cat, and say hello to sexy snake!
*Tip- Need a little edge to add to your outfit? This print has a striking yet mysterious vibe, making it the perfect choice.
Summer Trends Carried Over To Fall-
COLOR BLOCKING- Still big! Instead of bold bright summer colors, try using trendy Autumn colors such as burgundy, burnt orange, forest green, or dark blue.
*Tip- Keep accessories simple, try black.
LEATHER- The must have piece to every girls closet is a leather jacket. Amp this trend up a notch this season and try leather pants.. that is... if you daring enough.

LACE & FRINGE- A popular look this season is "hells angel" which is elegant fabrics such as lace and fringe, mixed with edgy fabrics like leather.
PRINTED PANTS- Tribal, floral, animal print... you name it! A fun substitute for those boring old jean. Dress them up with a silky top or down with a comfy slouchy sweater.
*Tip- For a more affordable option try printed leggings.
Throughout the fall I will upload pictures of my outfits I've come up with.
The first one fits into FIVE of my categories- Color Burgundy, Metallic Gold, Snake Skin Print, Color Blocking, AND Printed Pants!! The best part is that I got the leggings at Rue 21, gold belt at Forever 21, and gold under shirt at TJMaxx all for around $5 each! The shoes, dress, and jewelry were finds that I already had in my closet.
